world famous cities and luxurious flair

Itinerary

Route

You will ride on flat, well-maintained bike paths throughout. On some days, you can choose between a longer and a shorter bike tour. Please note that the shorter bike tour may not include all of the highlights listed.

Day 1: Amsterdam
Individual arrival in Amsterdam (transfer from the airport to the hotel included). You will be welcomed by your tour guide at the hotel and get to know your fellow travelers in the afternoon. Your trip starts with a little highlight: a guided canal cruise on Amsterdam's beautiful canals.

Day 2: Amsterdam – Utrecht, approx. 10 km
After your first night at the hotel, you will start your first bike tour through the charming neighborhoods of Amsterdam. Your luggage will be taken aboard the Magnifique X and after your tour, it's time to cast off and head for Utrecht. In the evening, you can look forward to an exciting lecture on Dutch history and geography.

Day 3: Utrecht – Willemstad, approx. 38-56 km
A day full of contrasts awaits you: after breakfast, you will cycle to Schoonhoven, known for its silversmithing. Through the vast polder landscape of Alblasserwaard, you will continue to Kinderdijk, famous for its 19 historic windmills (UNESCO World Heritage Site). On the way, you will enjoy a regional “Taste of Holland” lunch. In the afternoon, the water bus will take you across the river to Dordrecht, where your Magnifique X will be waiting to take you to Willemstad.

Day 4: Willemstad – Antwerp, approx. 56 km
The day begins with a lecture about the Belgian region you will be visiting today, while the ship passes through the impressive Volkerak locks. The bike tour takes you via Bergen op Zoom to the Belgian border and on to Antwerp. In the afternoon, you will reach Rubens' hometown – famous for diamonds, Renaissance buildings, and its historic Grote Markt. The evening is at your leisure.

Day 5: Antwerp – St. Amands, approx. 34-49 km
Use the morning to get to know Antwerp. A visit to the Red Star Line Museum (included) will teach you about the history of European emigration. In the afternoon, one of the most scenic stages of this trip awaits you: along the Scheldt, the route leads along flat and idyllic riverside paths to the village of St. Amands.

Day 6: St. Amands – Ghent, approx. 52 km
Today, you continue your journey along the tranquil river landscapes of the Scheldt until you reach the lively university city of Ghent in the afternoon. The medieval city offers an exciting contrast between past and present. Explore the magnificent facades and winding alleys on a private canal cruise (included).

Day 7: Ghent – Bruges, approx. 22-45 km
Today you will cycle through the idyllic Flemish countryside towards Bruges, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Along the way, you will enjoy Belgian specialties during a lovingly arranged stop. In the afternoon, you will reach romantic Bruges with its canals, alleys, and chocolate shops. The rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure.

Day 8: Bruges – North Sea coast – Bruges, approx. 38-51 km
On the last day of cycling, you will discover the vast coastal landscape of West Flanders – with fields, canals, and dunes stretching to the North Sea. Enjoy a walk on the beach, a swim, or a drink by the sea before cycling back to Bruges. In the evening, celebrate the end of your time on board with a festive dinner with your fellow travelers.

Day 9: Bruges – Paris | Bus ride
Today it's time to say goodbye to the crew of the Magnifique X. You will board a comfortable coach that will take you to Paris in around 3 hours through varied landscapes. Use the afternoon to explore the city at your leisure, stroll through the alleys and boulevards, or relax in a typical Parisian street café.

Day 10: Paris
Individual departure after breakfast at the hotel (transfer to the airport included) or extension.

Day 1: Paris
Individual arrival in the City of Love (transfer from the airport to the hotel included) and welcome by the tour guide. In the afternoon, you will get to know your fellow travelers and have time to explore Paris on your own.

Day 2: Paris – Bruges | Bus trip
Your journey begins with a comfortable bus transfer to Bruges, where you will board the luxurious Magnifique X, which will be your accommodation for the next few days. There will be plenty of time to explore Bruges on a short bike ride or on foot and experience the fairytale old town.

Day 3: Bruges – Ghent, approx. 34-62 km
Today’s route takes you through rolling hills to the lively university city of Ghent. On the way, you will enjoy a delicious “Taste of Belgium” lunch with Flemish specialties. You will explore the city of Ghent from the water on an included canal cruise. Marvel at the magnificent facades and highlights such as the Gravensteen Fortress and St. Bavo Cathedral.

Day 4: Ghent – St. Amands, approx. 38-50 km
Today you will follow the elegant curves of the Scheldt on one of the most peaceful stages of this trip. A relaxed picnic in the countryside rounds off the bike tour before you reach the quiet river village of St. Amands in the afternoon. Your ship will be waiting for you here, and you can enjoy a quiet evening on board – in tune with the rhythm of the surroundings.

Day 5: St. Amands – Antwerp, approx. 30-41 km
Today’s bike tour continues along the idyllic landscapes of the Scheldt to the contrasting city of Antwerp. The lively port city offers cultural highlights such as the Grote Markt or the Red Star Line Museum (included). Use the evening to enjoy a beer in the Belgian evening sun or a leisurely stroll through the city.

Day 6: Antwerp – Dordrecht, approx. 22-34 km
In the morning, the ship will take you to the Kreekrak locks, where your bike tour begins. You will cross the border into the Netherlands and ride through the wooded paths of the Wouwse Plantage to the charming town of Tholen, where you will meet up with the Magnifique X again. As you continue on to Dordrecht, you will enjoy an inspiring lecture on Dutch culture and landscape on board.

Day 7: Dordrecht – Schoonhoven, approx. 32-45 km
The day begins with a water bus ride to Kinderdijk, one of the most famous places in the Netherlands. The 19 historic windmills, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, tell the story of the centuries-old art of Dutch water management. From there, you will cycle through the peaceful Alblasserwaard region with its canals, meadows, and dykes. A traditional “Taste of Holland” lunch provides a delicious break. Today’s stage ends in Schoonhoven, the traditional “silver city.” You can choose where to have dinner – your tour guide will be happy to give you recommendations.

Day 8: Schoonhoven – Utrecht, approx. 20 km
Today’s route takes you through the so-called “Green Heart” of the Netherlands – a peaceful and idyllic region between the country’s major cities. Along the way, you will visit a traditional cheese dairy and taste regional specialties. In Oudewater, you will visit the historic witch scales, a fascinating relic from a bygone era. In the late afternoon, you will reach Utrecht, an elegant and lively city with characteristic canals. Towards evening, the ship leaves Utrecht and sets course for Haar – an atmospheric end to your journey.

Day 8: Utrecht – Amsterdam, approx. 20 km
During breakfast, the ship will sail leisurely to Breukelen. After saying goodbye to the crew of the Magnifique X, the last cycling stage of your journey will begin there. Your luggage will be taken directly to your hotel in Amsterdam. Today’s route is deliberately relaxed: you will follow narrow canals and green paths towards the city. Along the way, there will be time for a lunch break in a cozy village or café. In the afternoon, you will check into your centrally located hotel in Amsterdam. To round off the trip, you will meet for an atmospheric farewell reception on board a classic canal boat.

Day 10: Amsterdam
After breakfast at the hotel, individual departure or extension (transfer to the airport included).

Due to varying wind and weather conditions, as well as organizational necessities, we reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary. Please keep in mind that the ship is both your hotel and a machine that needs to be maintained and operated - both during the day and at night. Operational noise is therefore unavoidable.
