On this tulip cruise you will be completely immersed in the Dutch spring and visit the most beautiful highlights in and around Amsterdam by bike and ship. In Amsterdam, the "smallest metropolis in Europe", you will be tempted by numerous museums and stores and the famous canals in the old town, which recently became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also visit the flower market in the center and discover the open-air museum "Zaanse Schans" with windmills, wooden shoe production and a cheese farm. Other highlights certainly include the historic city of Haarlem and the world famous flower park "Keukenhof" near Lisse. Optionally, a visit to the world’s largest flower auction in Aalsmeer is also on the agenda. Daily guided bike tours and some city walks are part of the program.
Route
You will ride on flat and well-maintained bike paths throughout the tour.
Day 1: Amsterdam – Zaandam
The crew welcomes you on board at 2 p.m. for embarkation. Once all guests are on board, we head for Zaandam, famous for its windmills. From the city center, you can take a short test ride by bike to explore the surrounding area. In the evening, you have the opportunity to take a short city tour through the picturesque center of Zaandam.
Day 2: Zaandam – Zaanse Schans – Haarlem, approx. 24-34 km
After breakfast, there will be a short bike ride (approx. 5 km) to the Zaanse Schans open-air museum, where you can discover windmills, an old Dutch village, a cheese factory, and a clog maker. In the afternoon, you can either cycle to Haarlem or enjoy the passing landscape on board. Once in Haarlem, visit the historic old town with the Grote Markt and the imposing St. Bavo Church.
Day 3: Haarlem – Keukenhof – Oude Wetering, approx. 38-55 km
Today you will visit Keukenhof, probably the most famous flower park in the world, where you can admire a wide variety of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and many other flowers in full bloom. After a leisurely visit, you will cycle to the small village of Oude Wetering, where the ship will be waiting for you.
Day 4: Oude Wetering – Nieuwe Meer – Amsterdam, approx. 28 km
In the morning, optional visit to the world's largest flower auction in Aalsmeer* (approx. 6:30 a.m.). Millions of flowers are auctioned here and shipped worldwide. Around 9:00 a.m., you will return to the ship for breakfast, which will then sail to Amsterdam. In the afternoon, you can take a bike tour through Waterland or explore Amsterdam. Visit the flower market, a museum, or go shopping. In the evening, there is an optional opportunity to take a trip through Amsterdam's famous canals.
*The flower auction in Aalsmeer is closed on weekends and public holidays. This is an optional offer.
Day 5: Amsterdam
Disembarkation after breakfast by 9:30 a.m. at the latest. Individual extension or departure.
Day 1: Amsterdam – Haarlem
Boarding from 2:00 p.m. in Amsterdam. Once all guests have arrived, travel to Haarlem through a historic lock. Upon arrival, test bike ride and dinner on board. Evening at leisure in Haarlem.
Day 2: Haarlem – Keukenhof – Haarlem, approx. 50 km
Bike tour to Keukenhof with an extended stay in the flower park, followed by return trip to Haarlem.
Day 3: Haarlem – Alkmaar, approx. 50 km
Optional early bus transfer (6:30 a.m.) to the flower auction in Aalsmeer*, return around 9:00 a.m. and late breakfast on board. Followed by a bike tour through the North Holland Dune Reserve with a stop in Egmond. In the evening, the ship will be moored near the center of Alkmaar.
*The flower auction in Aalsmeer is closed on weekends and public holidays and is therefore not available on all dates.
Day 4: Alkmaar – Zaanse Schans – Amsterdam, approx. 41 km
Cycle tour through the Schermerpolder via De Rijp to Zaanse Schans, including a visit to the windmills and a stop at the open-air museum. In the afternoon, return by ship to Amsterdam. Free time after arrival.
Day 5: Amsterdam
Disembarkation after breakfast by 9:30 a.m. at the latest.
Due to varying wind and weather conditions, as well as organizational necessities, we reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary.
Please keep in mind that the ship is both your hotel and a machine that needs to be maintained and operated - both during the day and at night.operational noise is therefore unavoidable.

Docking place is only a free ferry trip from the central railway station. Departure is every 6 minutes. You will find detailed information in your travel documents.
Arrival by car
Almost everywhere in Amsterdam - within the Ringweg ring road - parking is only allowed in official car parks and multi-storey car parks. Parking in the city centre of Amsterdam is now charged at around €5,-/hour. There are several car parks in the city centre. Some are connected to the parking guidance system. The blue and white signs of this system point to the next car park where there are still free spaces. Parking on yellow kerbs is prohibited. Caution: Wheel clamps (Wielklemm) may be used. Fines for parking violations are high.
Oosterdock car park
A monitored multi-storey car park right next to the Central Station (exclusively for cars up to 2.10 m high). The economy rate is about € 275,- per week. No advance reservation possible. You can find more information here.
Centralparking.nl/Valet Parking Services
We are happy to reserve a parking space for you on request and subject to availability. On the day of arrival, your car will be picked up at the pier and returned to the ship on the day of departure. Cost for 5 days - car: approx. € 165,- (payment in cash on site) →booking-form.

Embarkation
Please plan your journey accordingly to be on time for embarkation at 2 pm. Thank you for your understanding, that it is not possible to go on board before embarkation started. However, you can leave your luggage at the ship from 11 am.
