Puglia, the heel of the boot, is a ravishing region. A strip of land in the sea with a wide range of enchanting coasts, beaches and unforgettable sights. For those who want to dive back into the past, Puglia offers a multitude of historical sites that tell of its ancient culture: from prehistory, Magna Graecia and the Roman Empire to the Renaissance and the splendor of the Baroque. The starting point of the trip is Alberobello, home of the "Trulli", the world-famous white cone-shaped stone huts. They are so unique that they were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996. For fish lovers, this region, with its 800 km of coastline on two seas, offers a rich choice. You are spoiled for choice, because there really is something for everyone here: raw, marinated, as a delicious fish soup or with orechiette.
