In the past, traders traveled south along this path, from the Salzburg region to the Slovenian border. Follow them along the Mur River through lush natural landscapes that are home to over 200 species of birds.
Do you love contrasts? Then you will enjoy the remote homesteads of the Lungau mountain farmers as much as the vibrant provincial capital of Graz. Your journey will take you to the southern Styrian thermal region, past castles and ruins, through valleys and wide basins. And people with a thirst for knowledge will also get their money’s worth: open-air museums, wood museums and beer museums await you on your way. The Mur Cycle Path and Styria give you a warm welcome.
