On average, you cycle about 15 km per hour on flat - slightly hilly - terrain at a rather leisurely pace. This means that on a daily stage of approx. 40-50 km, you will be in the saddle for just under 3 hours. Plenty of time to see the sights or take a break at one of the countless “rest stops” along the cycle path.
The aim is not necessarily to break a new speed record or test your physical limits, but to enjoy as much nature and culture as possible and reach your stage destination relaxed and without too much effort.
