The bike path takes you past the famous Prgas Valley, one of the pearls of the Dolomites with its darf woods, white cliffs and the crystal clear turquoise blue Lake "Prags Wildsee". By following Rienz River you reach the town of Bruneck home to the well-known church altar constructor Michael Pacher. You cycle through the lower Pusteria Valley, past the ruin of Mühlbacher Kklause and into the Eisack Valley. Just shortly before reaching Brixen, you can visit the Neustift Monestary. The old town centre of Birxen is well worth visiting with its arcades, ally's and Cathedral.
The tour continues along the Eisack Valley past the town of Klausen to Waidbruck with a view of the Trostburg. From here the valley gets narrower on its way to the capital town of Sout Tyrol, Bozen.
Transfer by train to the spa town Merano with its Mediterranean flair. From there you cycle through the orchards along the Etsch Valley to Bozen. here you can wander through the arcades, visit the fruit market or just enjoy the flair of a town immersed in two cultures.
You may either cycle along the old railway route to Kaltern or along the Etsch to Salurn, the most southern town of Southtyrol. On your cycle path you see the famous Trentiner Wine areas until you reach the bisop´s see Trient, where you can visit the old town with the castle Buonconsiglio.
Today you make a little ascent on the Passo S. Giovanni (150 m/0,1 miles) where you will enjoy a surprisingly and overwhelming view: below you, you see the resplendent azure water of Lake Garda. Mediterranian climate and happy ambiance is waiting for you. You can relaxe on one of the beach cafés with a glass of red wine.
