Level 1, The area is flat without any climbs. You bike on cycle paths, mostly along the shore of the lake, no major uphill stretches.

Day 1-5 or Day 8:  Constance/surroundings

ROUTE SUGGESTIONS:

Constance - Salem - Constance (approx. 50km/31miles)

Per boat and bike via Meersburg to Salem. On the way to Unteruhldingen you can visit the Pfahlbau museum and also the attraction of Affenberg Salem. Per boat you drive back to Constance/Kreuzlingen. 

Constance - Meersburg - Markdorf - Friedrichshafen - Meersburg - Constance (approx. 55km/34miles)

Today`s bike leg leads you to the north of the lake, called Obersee. You cycle through Meersburg and Markdorf, and finally you reach Friedrichshafen. Here we recommend the visit of the Zeppelinmuseum. The way back you drive on the cycle path via Hagnau to Meersburg. Per boat transfer to Constance/Kreuzlingen. 

Constance - Reichenau - Stein am Rhein - Constance (approx. 50km/31miles)

The first stop is the island Reichenau which is UNESCO world cultural heritage since 2001. A boat will bring you to Gaienhofen, where you can visit the house of Hermann-Hesse. You cycle along the peninsula Höri via Hemmenhofen to Stein am Rhein. The return path leads through Steckborn and Gottlieben to Constance/Kreuzlingen.

Constance - Meeersburg - Lindau - Constance per boat (approx. 55km/34miles)

First you reach the city of Friedrichshafen. Then you follow the cycling path to Langenargen and through charming small villages like Wasserburg and Nononenhorn you come to Lindau. The historic city centre of Lindau is worth to see! In the afternoon you go per boat back to Constance/Kreuzlingen.

Constance - Bregenz per boat - Arbon - Constance (approx. 65-70 km/40-43miles)

Again you use the boat to drive to Bregenz which is very famous for its spectacular stage on the lake and the Pfänder mountain. After a walk through the city you cycle through the delta of Alpenrhein which is an important protective area for birds. Via Rorschach and Arbon, an old roman colony, you cycle through the Switzerland back to Constance/Kreuzlingen.

Constance - Radolfzell - Überlingen - Constance (approx. 60km/37miles)

The beautiful island Mainau will be your first trip. Via Allensbach you drive to the small charming city Radolfzell, and finally to the beautiful town Überlingen which attracts many tourists each year. You follow the cycling path to the baroque church of pilgrimage Birnau. From Meersburg finally back to Constance/Kreuzlingen.
