Home Base Tour: Valleys of the Tyrolean Alps
Along the mostly flat and moderate cycling paths, you will find yourself surrounded by mellow grassland and rustic farmhouses with pristine mountain lakes and countless cultural landmarks. Historical steam engines offer a comfortable lift and by way of funicular even the highest peaks can be summited and grant a splendid view over the gorgeous Alpine panorama.

Day 1 - 7: Strass in the Zillertal
Individual arrival to Strass which is approx. 1 hour short by car from Munich. Use the time to soak in a bit of the majestic Alps.
PROPOSAL FOR ROUTING
Zillertal roundtrip (approx. 40 km/25 miles)
After a ride with the Zillertalbahn (railway) from Strass to Mayrhofen, you will cycle downhill through the valley along the river Ziller. Sights along the way: alpine dairy in Holenzen, dairy farm in Fügen.
City of Innsbruck (approx. 48 km/30 miles)
You start the day with a short bike trip to Jenbach, where you then catch the train to the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck, situated in breathtaking Alpine scenery, with enough time for a nice stroll through the city. Afterwards you follow the “Green River” Inn passing the village of Hall, famous for its salines and on to the village Wattens where you have the unique possibility to glance into the fascinating world of Swarowski Crystal. Full of unforgettable memories you'll return back to your welcoming hotel in Strass before the end of the day.
Day of rest
Relax at your hotel and enjoy the provided facilities. Or maybe you would like to go skiing in summer? The Tuxer Gletscher (glacier) awaits your arrival.
Achensee (approx. 45 km/28 miles)
Enjoy the moderate cycling tour along "Via Bavarica Tyrolensis" and on to the valley station of the cog railway in Jenbach. Enjoy the fantastic view of the Tyrolean Mountains on the world’s oldest cog railway (surcharge). At the plateau there is the largest lake in Tyrol and it offers you lots of enjoyable and extensive cycling paths. A completely downhill ride will take you back to your hotel.
Inntal cycle path (approx. 48 km/30 miles)
Cycle through the rolling hilly landscape to the Tyrolean Museum of farms. Where an adventure through the past is awaiting you. While strolling through the "Lustiger Friedhof" (Funny Cemetery) you will be astonished by the arrant inscriptions. Jump into the adventure pool of the “Wörgler Wasserwelten” with the worlds first double looping waterslide. Through the valley of the Inn, the cycling path guides you back to your accommodation in Strass.
Optional: if you like you can cycle onto Kufstein and go back by train to Strass (train ride surcharge applies).
Day 7: Individual departure or extension
Individual departure or extend your stay in Stass or Innsbruck. Enjoy the Alps!
