Tour profile

Level 1, easy and flat, available for all cyclists and families

Day 1: Nunspeet

Individual arrival.

Day 2: Nunspeet - Amersfoort (approx. 60 km/ 37 miles)

Nunstett is situated in the middle of the beautiful nature of the "Veluwe". Around Nunsteet old farms, green meadow-land and wooded banks can be admired. The first cycling day brings you to Amersfoort, a town where history is still alive. Behind the old walls, you can walk through the cosy streets. It is also the perfect place to go shopping.

Day 3: Amersfoort - Purmerend (approx. 68 km/ 42 miles)

On the third day you cycle to Purmerend. On the way to Purmerend  a very interesting sight is the Naarden-Vesting, one of the best preserved fortifications in Europe. The landscape is dominated by the ancient bog ‚Eemland’.

Day 4: Purmerend - Enkhuizen (approx. 56km/ 35 miles)

On the way to Enkhuizen, you should really visit Edam, very famous for its excellent cheese! Another place to see is the ‘Broeker harbour’. Our destination, Enkhuizen, was in the ‘Golden Century’ a leading port.

Day 5: Enkhuizen - Harich/Balk (approx. 38 km/ 24 miles)

This cycling tour will guide you through the typical Frisian landscapes. Stavoren for example has become very popular as the Eleven Cities Tour passes over there.

Day 6: Harich/Balk - Zwartsluis (approx. 64 km/40 miles)

Between Harich/Balk and Zwartsluis, you will cycle through the national park ‚De Weerribben’, an ancient peat moor area. The former fortress Swartsluys is today the place to be for water sporters.

Day 7: Zwartsluis - Nunspeet (approx. 48 km/ 30 miles)

The most outstanding place of interest on the way to Nunspeet is Kampen, once a Hanzestadt. This city has not less than 500 monuments. After having passed the small village Noordeinde, you return in the ‚Veluwe’ landscape and you arrive back in Nunspeet.

Day 8: Nunspeet

Individual departure.
