Spend your bicycle vacation in the most famous vineyard of Germany along one of the most beautiful rivers. Explore famous towns like Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach, Cochem or Neumagen-Dhron, the oldest German wine town. Don't miss to try all the delicious specialities the region offers.

Most of the time on bike paths, some field paths, only a few slight uphill stretches.

Day 1: Trier

Individual arrival.

Day 2: Trier - Trittenheim (approx. 42 km/26 miles)

On the Moselle bike path you reach the village of Trittenheim where you will find lots of information about the life and work of the winegrowers. Tuesdays you can take part at a wine tasting (reservation necessary).

Day 3: Trittenheim - Zeltingen (approx. 35 km/22 miles)

Today you reach Neumagen-Dhron, the oldest winegrowing village in Germany. Have lunch at the market square of Bernkastel-Kues, before you continue to Zeltingen.

Day 4: Zeltingen - Zell (approx. 36 km/22 miles)

You cycle through the famous vineyards of the "Kröver Nacktarsch" and reach Traben-Tarbach. We suggest a boat ride down the Moselle. After a break in beautiful Enkirch (medieval architecture called "Fachwerk") you reach todays destination Zell.

Day 5: Zell - Treis-Karden (approx. 47 km/29 miles)

Passing Beilstein, you arrive in Cochem. You can visit the picturesque city centre and the old castle (11th century). Today you can take part at a wine tasting if you in Treis-Karden on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (reservation necessary).

Day 6: Treis-Karden - Koblenz (approx. 42 km/26 miles)

In the morning you should plan a visit of the castle of "Eltz" before you cycle through the Moselle valley to the 2000 year old town of Koblenz, caught in-between the pituresque landscape of the Rhine and Moselle and surrounded by four low mountain ranges. Enjoy the fantastic view from high (118 metres) above the Rhine at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress across to the "Deutsches Eck" (German Corner) with its reconstructed monument, the "Reiterdenkmal".

Day 7: Koblenz
