The biggest national park of Germany – the Altmühlvalley – and the romantic towns Rothenburg and Regensburg are the highlights of this cycle tour. You will be impressed by the marvellous landscape with its cliffy lime rocks, river bends and valleys.

Level 1-2, the Area is mostly flat. You bike on cycle paths and side roads. One uphill stretch is at the beginning.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Regensburg / 6 nights
Day 1: Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Individuelle arrival.
Day 2: Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Herrieden (approx. 54 km/34 miles)
You will be leaving Rothenburg, passing the impressive castle Colmberg and the lovely, little village Leutershausen. In the afternoon you cycle until Herrieden.
Day 3: Herrieden - Treuchtlingen (approx. 53 km/33 miles)
Today you have the possibility to visit the lake „Altmühltal“ and Weißenburg in the afternoon you will reach today's destination Treuchtlingen.
Day 4: Treuchtlingen - Eichstätt (approx. 42 km/26 miles)
You cycle along white dolomite rocks to Eichstätt.
Day 5: Eichstätt - Riedenburg (approx. 55 km/34 miles)
The impressive landscape along the river Altmuehl leads you to the locks of the Rhine-Main-Danube Channel at Dietfurt which are worth to visit. the last part of the tour you go per ship ( included in the tourprice, but not on FR or SUN)
Day 6: Riedenburg - Regensburg (approx. 53 km/33 miles)
A few kilometers you cycle along the river Altmuehl. Then you follow the Danube to the 2000-years old town Regensburg with ancient buildings and romantic alleys.
Day 7: Regensburg
Individual departure or extension to Passau.
Rothenburg - Passau / 9 nights
Day 1 - 6: see Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Regensburg
Day 7: Regensburg - Straubing (approx. 54 km/33 miles)
Day 8: Straubing - Deggendorf (approx. 36 km/22 miles)
Day 9: Deggendorf - Passau (approx. 69 km/43 miles)
