Lake Constance-Roundtrip Classic

Level 1-2, the first stage is moderately hilly in the Höri region, otherwise the route is mainly even along tarred cycle paths.
The path runs partially along the lakeshore and partially along lakeshore roads. Sporadically there are short, unfortified sections
around Friedrichshafen the cycle path runs parrallel to the highway. The lakeshore is mostly open to the public.
Day 1: Constance/surroundings
Individual arrival. Enjoy the fantastic city Constance with its Sea Life Center and the archeological museum.
Day 2: Constance/surroundings - Stein am Rhein/surroundings (approx. 20 -30 km / 12 - 19 miles)
First you cycle to the island Reichenau, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Per boat you reach the peninsula Höri, where the famous artis Hermann Hesse and Otto Dix were living for a while. Overnight stay in Stein am Rhein or surroundings.
Day 3: Stein am Rhein/surroundings - Überlingen (approx. 45 - 55 km / 28 - 34 miles)
You walk through Stein am Rhein and admire the colourful houses. Today`s bike leg leads you along the swiss shore of the lake to Constance. In Wallhausen you take the boat transfer to Überlingen your destination for today.
Day 4: Überlingen - Kressbronn/surroundings (approx. 50-55 km/31-34 miles)
Leaving Überlingen you pass the baroque church of pilgrimage Birnau and the old city Meersburg until you arrive in the city of zeppelin Friedrichshafen. Overnight in Kressbronn or surroundings.
Day 5: Kressbronn/surroundings - Hoechst/Rorschach/surroundings (app. 40 - 55 km / 25 - 34 miles)
Today you reach the city of Lindau. Discover the city centre which is situated on an island. You cross the border to Austria. Do not miss to visit the festival town of Bregenz. Passing the Rhine delta, you reach Switzerland again.Overnight stay in Höchst/Rorschach.
Day 6: Hoechst/Rorschach/surroundings - Constance/surroundings (app. 35 - 55 km / 22 -34 miles)
Again along the Swiss shore of the river in the canton Thurgau, you cycle until Constance. Optional ride to island Mainau (cat. A inclusive) possible.
Day 7: Constance/surroundings
Individual departure or extension.
