Tour profile:
Level 1-2, flat and slightly hilly, on cycle paths and asphaltic side roads.
Day 1: Wasserbillig in Luxemburg (approx. 12 km ahead of Trier)
Individual arrival. Boarding at 3pm. Today you can cycle to Konz along the rivers Sauer and Moselle.
Day 2: Konz - Trier - Saarburg (approx. 35 km/ 22 miles)
After breakfast you will cycle to Trier. After a guided city tour by bike, there will be sufficient time at leisure to experience and feel the atmosphere of this century old city.
After Trier, you cycle along the rivers Moselle and Saar to reach today’s destination Saarburg with its beautiful and famous cascade.
Day 3: Saarburg - Ehnen (approx. 35 km/ 22 miles)
Today you follow the river Saar upstream at the opposite riverside. At Konz, you continue on the Moselle bike path until you arrive at the beautiful Luxembourg wine-growers’ village Ehnen.
Day 4: Ehnen - Thionville (approx. 36 km/ 22 miles)
The ship brings you to the sophisticated and popular town of Remich, from where you cycle tour continues in the direction of Thionville. The route leads you through quaint French villages. In Thionville, you will unravel the secrets of this old town during a guided tour.
Day 5: Thionville - Remich via Schengen (approx. 27 km/ 17miles)
After breakfast, you continue on the Moselle bike path in the direction of Luxembourg until you reach Schengen. Here, the ship Eva Josiena will be waiting for you. Today you can enjoy the beautiful views along the Moselle to the full on the deck of the ship while enjoying a good glass of wine. We spend the night in Remich.
Day 6: Remich - Grevenmacher (approx. 22 km/ 14 miles)
You cycle to Grevenmacher. On the way you will be rewarded with beautiful nature and you will discover small, idyllic villages. In the afternoon you can sample wines in Oberbillig.
Day 7: Grevenmacher - Wasserbillig (approx. 8 km/ 5 miles)
Today after breakfast you set off for your last kilometers of your cycling vacation at the Saar- Upper Moselle. Your holiday ends at 12.00am after you had another cup of coffee or tea.
